Sacramento, CA | Hybrid Opportunity

Salary: $85,000-$100,000 DOE

A well-established and highly respected California law firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its collaborative legal team. What You'll Do

  • Manage and organize complex case files and large-scale document collections.
  • Conduct legal, factual, and public records research to support litigation and client matters.
  • Assist with all phases of discovery, including subpoenas, document productions, and record management.
  • Analyze, summarize, and prepare legal and factual materials for attorney review.
  • Perform cite-checking and Shepardizing to ensure accuracy and reliability of legal authorities.
  • Assist with responding to public records requests, including reviewing responsive documents and preparing correspondence.
  • Support attorneys with case strategy, trial preparation, and substantive legal projects.
  • Coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff across a variety of sophisticated matters.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of substantive paralegal experience supporting complex legal matters.
  • Litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in labor and employment law is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to research unfamiliar legal issues and quickly learn new areas of law.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and case management skills.
  • Experience with legal technology, eDiscovery platforms, and document management systems.
  • Trial preparation experience is highly desirable.
  • Certificate from an ABA-approved Paralegal Program.
  • Compliance with California Business & Professions Code §6450.
